I have no religion, only faith.

I have no religion, only hope.

I have no religion, only a relationship.

I have no religion, only a promise.

I have no religion, only a belief.

Don't talk to me about religion, because I don't have one.

I believe in God, but that doesn't make me religious. That's the problem these days when it comes to debates like this. Secular views say that religion causes discrimination. Well, they're right. Religion destroys people's individuality and makes them all the same.

I don't think I want anything to do with religion if that's the case.

I have beliefs. I believe everything in the Bible is true and I try to live by it. If people think my beliefs are considered religious, they're dead wrong. They think that simply going to church makes you a christian. Whatever. Going to church doesn't make you any more a Christian than living in a barn and claiming your a cow.

I don't go by the world's definition of religion, 'cause obviously, it kills who I am, and God loves me for being just that.

EDIT: You've probably seen a good deal of hidden comments below the deviation. That was a little debate that wasn't suppossed to happen. If you keep that in mind, that'd be greatly appreciated.

Wow.. strikes hard a chord that resonates inside of me everyday I walk this earth.

I find it hard to call myself a Christian these days because of all the other people who claim they are one too. So, for the past year or so.. I have not considered myself one. I have even gone as far as to say that the new testament may not even be real.

I know of God. I can see what and who he is every time I look at another human, or when I think of people who have died that I have loved and I know that I will see them again someday. I am scientific in nature but I cannot fathom the fact that this world grew from nothingness unless SOMETHING created it. To me, that is God.

I respect the hell out of my dad's side of the family. They are mostly Jewish and they have rituals that they follow that are amazing in terms of religion. My uncle strongly follows the words of the Bible and Judaism. I am from Mississippi so I know first hand the ways of "Christians" down here. Its almost as if they wear a badge that says I can do what I want when I want and I will be saved because I have accepted Christ. Me, I just do all that because I know I am human and that I will go to heaven because I think God won't send a soul that is mostly good to Hell.

Oh well, most people around here I talk to do not understand my religious views. I would not consider myself religious either but does that make us not believe in God? No.

Your poem sums up my beliefs as well.

Thank you!

Wow! And some christians say that Christianity isn't a religion at all. It's a spiritual living. What you can do is consider chistianity as a belief or spirituality rather than a religion. Just a food for thought.

I totally agree with the church thing. It's good to go for fellowship but it's not what makes you a christian. It's what is in your heart that God looks at.
